MANJARABADH FORT

Manjarabadh Fort is a star fort built by Tipu Sultan in 1792 as security against infiltrators from Madikeri. This imposing fort stands atop a hill called Anaigudda at 988 meters (3,241 ft). It gives a clear and commanding view of the surroundings, and even the Arabian sea can also be seen from the fort. At the time of inspection, Tipu Sultan found the fort enveloped in fog and named it Manjarabad fort. His soldiers built the fort in only one day (24 hrs).

Water would flow to the river Kaveri also after getting fired from here. The best season to visit is the monsoon or just after that so that the water flow is high and you can get the best view of the water flow through the dam.
